Ryan Mason sacked by West Brom

Hey Ryan I know of a possible future job opportunity

Former Tottenham academy graduate, first team player, and assistant head coach Ryan Mason’s first head coaching gig hasn’t gone the way anyone hoped. West Bromwich Albion announced today that they have parted ways with Mason with the Baggies currently languishing in 18th place in the Championship table.

I haven’t really followed West Brom or Mason this season, but there was a lot of excitement when he was first appointed. Obviously things haven’t gone particularly well since then. That shouldn’t mean however that Mason won’t find employment elsewhere — head coaches get fired and rehired all the time, even the best ones. I have no doubt Mason will find a head coaching job somewhere, and if not he’s already a valued assistant with a lot of experience. He’ll land on his feet somewhere.

And yes, before anyone else decides to make this particular joke, it now also means that if Tottenham decide that Thomas Frank’s job is untenable before the end of the Premier League season, it also means that Ryan Mason would technically be available to fill in as a caretaker. Just throwing that out there before the most obvious joke in the world gets told a billion times in the comments.
