The defender is set to rejoin the club on loan.
Joao Cancelo has posted a rather cryptic message on social media ahead of an expected return to Barcelona in the January transfer window.
The full-back is expected to spend the second half of the season at Camp Nou after Barcelona agreed a deal with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Cancelo has been eager to leave Al-Hilal this winter, with speculation rife about his reasons for wanting out, and has now posted a message on social media which appears to be aimed at his detractors.
“Imagine how many people dislike you because they didn’t hear your side of the story,” is the message from the Portugal star.
There have been claims that Cancelo has fallen out with Simone Inzaghi at Al-Hilal, and the defender has previously clashed with Pep Guardiola during his time at Manchester City.
However, he’s regularly made it clear he loved his time at Barcelona and is now set to link up with the Catalan giants for another stint.
