Arnaud Kalimuendo’s (23) time on the other side of the Channel looks set to be short-lived. It has been a turbulent season at Nottingham Forest, whom Kalimuendo joined from Stade Rennais over the summer. The Premier League club have burned through two managers since the start of the season, with Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou both leaving. The Frenchman didn’t feature regularly under either manager, and he is not playing a prominent role under Sean Dyche either.
Kalimuendo was a name that featured on OGC Nice’s shortlist, however, they are on the verge of concluding a loan deal for Elye Wahi. However, there is still plenty of Ligue 1 interest in the former RC Lens and Rennes striker, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Paris FC, who have just seen a €23m bid for SCO Angers’ Sidiki Chérif rejected, are a potential destination, L’Équipe understands, whilst several other Ligue 1 sides have made enquiries. It is now “very probable” that Kalimuendo will make a return to Ligue 1 in January, the report adds.
