The Boston Bruins have some notable prospects in their system, like Fraser Minten, Matthew Poitras, Fabian Lysell, and Dans Locmelis. However, they also have some other prospects who need to be watched incredibly closely next season.

Because of this, let's discuss four fascinating Bruins prospects who deserve more attention heading into the 2025-26 season now. 

Dean Letourneau, C (25th Overall, 2024 NHL Entry Draft)

After acquiring the 25th overall pick of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft from the Ottawa Senators in the Linus Ullmark trade, the Bruins selected center Dean Letourneau. This was after the Arnprior, Ontario native absolutely dominated with St. Andrew's College in 2023-24, posting 61 goals and 127 points in 56 games. 

Letourneau kicked off his NCAA career this past season with Boston College, and it is fair to say that it was an underwhelming year for the 2024 first-round pick. In 36 games, he did not score a goal and recorded just three assists. While Letourneau had a tough first year at Boston College, there certainly is a real chance that he will take a notable step forward next year now that he has gained some NCAA experience. 

Letourneau demonstrated at St. Andrew's that he has plenty of offensive potential, and it will be fascinating to see if he can tap into it more with Boston College next year. The 6-foot-7 center is one of the team's most intriguing prospects, and it was expected that he would be a long-term project for the Bruins when they selected him. While this is the case, the Bruins will be hoping that he shows signs of improvement in 2025-26. 

Frederic Brunet, D (132nd overall, 2022 NHL Entry Draft)

Frederic Brunet may not be the flashiest prospect in the Bruins' system, but there is a lot to like about the 6-foot-3 defenseman. He is only continuing to improve with each season that passes, and he very well could become a true NHL-caliber blueliner in the near future because of it. 

Brunet had a solid first year at the AHL level with the Providence Bruins in 2023-24, as he recorded two goals, 10 assists, 12 points, and a plus-9 rating in 48 games. However, he took a nice step forward this past season with Providence, setting new AHL career highs with five goals, 20 assists, and 25 points in 69 games. Due to his strong play, he also made his NHL debut with Boston during their season finale against the New Jersey Devils. 

Overall, Brunet has simply been a steady defenseman for Providence since his arrival, and he is now starting to see his offense go up a bit. The possibility of him emerging as a solid two-way defenseman for Boston is there, and it would not be surprising in the slightest if we see him get more chances with the NHL squad next season because of it. 

Oskar Jellvik, LW (149th Overall, 2021 NHL Entry Draft)

Oskar Jellvik is another intriguing Bruins prospect who just so happens to play at Boston College. The 21-year-old forward is entering his senior season with the school, and he will undoubtedly be a Bruins prospect to keep a close eye on in 2025-26 because of it. 

Jellvik has shown promise at Boston College, and the possibility of him becoming an NHL player in the future could be there because of it. His best season with the school was back in 2023-24, as he set career highs with 13 goals, 29 assists, and 42 points in 41 games. However, he followed his big 2023-24 campaign up with just four goals and 13 points in 23 games with the school this past season. 

While Jellvik had a tough campaign in 2024-25, he is a Bruins prospect that cannot be slept on by fans. He has shown good upside at times with Boston College, and it is going to be quite interesting to see if he can heat back up with the school next season from here. 

Christopher Pelosi, C (92nd Overall, 2023 NHL Entry Draft)

Christopher Pelosi is another Bruins prospect who fans should be watching closely next season. The 6-foot-2 center had a solid first collegiate season with Quinnipiac University in 2024-25, and he certainly could hit a new level with the school next campaign. 

In 38 games with Quinnipiac University this past season, Pelosi recorded 13 goals, 11 assists, 24 points, and a plus-10 rating. Yet, what is more encouraging about Pelosi's play is that he only got better as the campaign rolled on. 

With the Bruins needing serious help at the center position, having an interesting prospect on the rise like Pelosi in their system is certainly a good thing. The chances of him taking a notable step forward next season with Quinnipiac University are certainly there, and time will tell what happens on that front.
