The ongoing summer transfer window has rekindled the rumours of Real Madrid’s interest in Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner is a player greatly admired at the Santiago Bernabeu and given that the midfield is currently lacking a player of his qualities, reports of a possible move have been doing the rounds.
Reports in England went as far as suggesting that Los Blancos are preparing a €115 million offer for the midfield ace.
No move made by Real Madrid
However, according to Jose Felix Diaz, Real Madrid have made no move to try and sign Rodri from Manchester City this summer.
While the 29-year-old remains on the Merengues’ agenda, no approach or attempt has been launched thus far to bring him back to Spain.

And, as things stand, it is unlikely that Real Madrid will make a move for Rodri in the current window.
After all, he still has two years left on his contract at Manchester City and would thus command a huge fee, in the unlikely scenario that the Premier League club agree to sell.
A future move, however, could be feasible, as Rodri will enter the final year of his contract in 2026 and could be available for a more reasonable price.
Moreover, it would also give Real Madrid an opportunity to see how the midfielder has recovered from his ACL injury that kept him out of action for the majority of last season.
So, while Rodri is a player that is well-liked, so far no moves have been made and it appears unlikely that it will change this summer.
