Wrexham has had a magical few years.
The Red Dragons ended 2025 in style, too.
They topped Preston North End, 2-1, on a winner in the late stages from Ollie Rathbone.

It's a big moment for Wrexham.
The Red Dragons are now four points out of the promotion playoff spots.
The way promotion works in the Championship, which is the second tier of English football, is this:
- Top-two spots are automatically promoted to the Premier League.
- Places 3-6 take part in a four-team playoff, with the winner earning the third and final promotion spot to the Premier League
Wrexham still has a lot of work to do.
They've got nearly half the season still to play.
But to even be in contention at this stage, in their first season after being promoted to the second division, is huge. It'll be up to Wrexham to keep their momentum going in 2026.
