Bournemouth are eyeing a move for Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu as a replacement for Antoine Semenyo, per the Daily Mail.
The Cherries are set to lose Semenyo this winter, as he has a £65 million release clause in his contract that becomes active for the first part of January.
The 25-year-old is said to prefer a move to Manchester City, while Liverpool could also enter the race for the talented winger.
Bournemouth have started making preparations for Semenyo’s exit, as they have identified Leicester forward Fatawu as his replacement.
The 21-year-old has been earning rave reviews with his performances since joining the Foxes from Sporting Lisbon.
Leicester have had a turbulent 2025-26 campaign so far, but Fatawu has impressed with his displays in the Championship.
Fatawu has scored four goals and created six assists in 23 league appearances this season.
The Ghanaian has posted 3.07 expected goals, 2.7 shots and 51 touches per outing in the second-tier.
He has also averaged 1.2 tackles, 4.1 ball recoveries and 1.3 clearances this season.
Bournemouth have also been linked with an interest in Nottingham Forest’s James McAtee, but Fatawu is regarded as a more suitable option for them.
The young forward is highly skilful and pacy who can create as well as score goals, qualities that make him more suitable as a replacement for Semenyo.
Bournemouth could sign Fatawu for a fee around £30 million.
