Darnell Washington injured vs. Browns

The Steelers tight end is out.

It’s been a rough first half for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cleveland Browns jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. The Steelers added a Chris Boswell field goal to make it a one-score game, but lost a key offensive player in the process.

Tight end Darnell Washington left the game with a wrist/forearm injury. And while he was initially listed as questionable to return, he has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Washington has been a focal point of the offense, both in the run game as a blocker and as a pass-catcher. The Steelers were already without DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin, so losing Washington is the last thing they could afford.
