Patriots vs. Jets inactives: All questionables cleared for Week 17

Injury updates and more for the Patriots’ Week 17 game on Sunday.

The New England Patriots are dealing with some injury issues heading into their Week 17 game with the New York Jets, but they did receive some good news beforehand. All four of the players they had listed as questionable on the injury report have been given the green light for Sunday.

This means that running back TreVeyon Henderson (concussion protocol), wide receiver DeMario Douglas (hamstring), fullback Jack Westover (illness) and cornerback Charles Woods (foot) will all suit up. Henderson’s status was already updated by the team on Saturday — he passed the independent concussion check and was removed from the protocol — while the other three were question marks entering Sunday.

The Patriots’ inactives, meanwhile, looks as follows.

Patriots inactives

  • QB3 Tommy DeVito
  • WR Kayshon Boutte
  • OT Marcus Bryant
  • LG Jared Wilson
  • DT Khyiris Tonga
  • ED Harold Landry III
  • LB Robert Spillane

The Patriots entered the weekend with seven players ruled out for the game in New York. Among them were wide receiver Mack Hollins (abdomen) and defensive tackle Milton Williams (ankle), neither of whom is on the active roster at the moment: Hollins was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, while Williams remains on IR despite his return to practice earlier this week.

The five others on that list, meanwhile, are among today’s inactives: Kayshon Boutte (concussion), Jared Wilson (concussion), Khyiris Tonga (foot), Harold Landry (knee) and Robert Spillane (ankle). They are joined by a pair of healthy scratches in third-stringers Tommy DeVito and Marcus Bryant.

Jets inactives

  • QB Tyrod Taylor
  • WR Quentin Skinner
  • TE Mason Taylor
  • OL Marquis Hayes
  • DT Mazi Smith
  • S Chris Smith

The Jets ruled out four players ahead of the weekend, with three of them — DT Jay Tufele, ED Will McDonald IV, LB Kiko Mauigoa — since going to injured reserve. The only other two players listed on Friday’s injury report were tight end Mason Taylor, the Jets’ leading receiver, and offensive lineman Xavier Newman-Johnson. While the latter is in, the former is out for Sunday’s game.

Kickoff between the Patriots and Jets at East Rutherford’s MetLife Bank Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET.
