Phillies announce lineup as they attempt to sweep Red Sox on July 23

Jesus Luzardo takes the mound for the Phillies on July 23 as they try to sweep the Boston Red Sox.

Jesus Luzardo has a tough act to follow.

The lefty will be on the mound as the Phillies try to sweep a three-game series against the Red Sox on July 23 at Citizens Bank Park.

Start time is 7:05 p.m. for the nationally televised game on ESPN.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo (44) throws a pitch against the San Francisco Giants in the first inning of an MLB game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All players wore #42 for Jackie Robinson Day.

Cristopher Sanchez threw a four-hit complete game with 12 strikeouts and no walks July 22 as the Phillies prevailed 4-1.

Luzardo (8-5, 4.29) will be trying to regain his early-season form in his 21st start this year. He was 5-0 with a 2.15 ERA after his 11th start May 25 against the Athletics in Sacramento.

Right-hander Lucas Giolito (6-2, 3.49) starts for the Red Sox.

The Phillies enter the game with a one-half game lead over the Mets in the National League East.
