"The #Tigers offense gets a jolt from Jake Rogers' 3-run home run," television reporter Hobie Artigue wrote on X.

"Pirates lead cut down to 5-3 in the 5th. That's already the most runs the Tigers have scored in a game since returning from the All-Star Break."

Rogers had not recorded a hit in six games leading up to Tuesday's game in Pittsburgh against the Pirates.

The Pirates later added three runs in the sixth inning as they expanded their lead over the Tigers to 8-3.

Keller struck out five batters through six innings and did not give up a run excepting Rogers' blast.

Detroit starting pitcher Casey Mize went four innings, giving up 10 hits and four runs before giving way to three Tigers relievers at PNC Park.
