Twelve-time NBA All-Star guard Chris Paul is heading into his final season with a franchise he’s quite familiar with.

NBA insider Shams Charania reported Monday that Paul signed a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers to play his 21st NBA season. The signing comes after he played all 82 games last season with the San Antonio Spurs.

Paul played for the Clippers from 2011-17, leading them to six playoff appearances. The 40-year-old guard said during an interview earlier this month at the American Black Film Festival in Miami that he intends to play one more year, making this upcoming season his last.

“I’ve been in the NBA for more than half of my life, which is a blessing, but these years with your kids you do not get back,” Paul added.

His decision to return to the Clippers earned a few reactions from fans on Instagram.

“🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” one shared.

“Beal, Harden, Kawhi, CP3?? Holy unction,” another joked, referring to four veteran players teaming up in Los Angeles.

“I love it 👏,” another commented.

“Kawhi, CP3, Haden ring finna feed generations 😭🔥🔥🔥,” one fan wrote.

“Harden and CP3 back together,” another shared.

“CP3 played all 82 games last year btw for the haters 😂,” another commented.

The comments come as Paul will be playing alongside former All-Stars such as Bradley Beal, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden. Paul has already been a teammate of Harden’s from their time with the Houston Rockets from 2017-19.

Paul will most likely serve as the Clippers' six-man because Harden and Beal are projected to be the starting guards. However, that shouldn’t be a problem for him after playing with the Spurs last season as their first man off the bench.
