The Indiana Fever have had to make due without their superstar guard Caitlin Clark for 13 of their 23 games so far this season, a challenging fact of life that has hindered coach Stephanie White's team's potential.

Clark suffered a right groin injury that kept her out of the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game and put the brakes on talk of a potential MVP season.

On Tuesday, White shared an update on the Clark injury situation with her team preparing to take on the defending league champions from New York, the Liberty.

"Stephanie White says there's no update on Caitlin Clark of a potential timeline," reporter Chloe Peterson of The Indianapolis Starwrote on X Tuesday.

"Clark met with another doctor this morning, but White says she hasn't spoken with trainers about that yet."

Clark is averaging 16.5 points per game, 5 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game, a strong season by any metric, but her legendary three-point shooting hasn't been up to snuff as she has shot less than 30 percent from beyond the arc.

Clark is also shooting less than 37 percent from the field, a sign that she still has much work to do in order to become the MVP caliber player that fans expected prior to the season.

Clark played in and started 40 games last season while leading the Fever to the WNBA Playoffs.
