Mets’ Edwin Diaz is the best pitcher in MLB since trainers realized his legs were different lengths

This is astounding.

It's been three months since Edwin Diaz shared a crazy revelation with reporters.

The New York Mets' star closer revealed that trainers had realized his legs were two different lengths.

Diaz said the trainers fixed the problem and added, "I was feeling better after that."

There are many questions here, but the results can speak for themselves.

Since that day, Diaz has been the best pitcher on the planet.

In the three months since, Diaz has pitched 29.2 innings. He has allowed a single earned run. And he has 44 strikeouts.

There doesn't appear to have been a ton of follow-up on that Diaz answer. It's not clear what physical action was actually taken for his legs, or how far off his balance may have been.

There may be no link between that moment and how good Diaz has been lately.

But even if it's a coincidence, it's quite the coincidence.

Given how things have gone for Diaz, everybody should be making sure their legs are in proper balance. Seems like there's some efficiency to be gained from that knowledge.
