NY Giants injuries: Andrew Thomas questionable with hamstring injury vs. Vikings

No team wants to see their left tackle go down with an injury, so here’s hoping Andrew Thomas is able to return.

New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas left Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a hamstring injury. Thomas was listed as questionable to return.

Thomas, who played only six games last season and missed the first two games of this year due to a Lisfranc injury, has been playing at an All-Pro level most of the season.

Thomas was replaced at left tackle by rookie Marcus Mbow. That gave the Giants a makeshift left side of their offensive line. Left guard Jon Runyan is inactive as he and his wife are expecting the birth of a child. Aaron Stinnie is playing left guard in Runyan’s place.

The Giants began the game with 15 consecutive run attempts. We will see if they can continue that with the left side of the line compromised.

As for Thomas, he had hamstring issues in 2023. At 2-12, the Giants are likely to be cautious about exposing him to further injury.
