OGC Nice are looking to be active in the transfer market in order to save their season. The club are in crisis, on a historic nine-game losing streak (longest in the club’s history), which has already cost Fabrice Bocquet his job as President.

Nice are now planning for a January transfer window where they will have limited means. As reported by Foot Mercato, the club are lining up a move for Elye Wahi, who is out of favour at Eintracht Frankfurt. Le Parisien now reports that Le Gym are also looking at his teammate, Aurèle Amenda (22).

The former Young Boys defender is considered a player of high potential, but he is lacking regular gametime. With the World Cup coming up and a place in the Switzerland squd to secure, Amenda wants to change that.

At Nice, he would be afforded regular gametime. There are several absentees at the back (Youssouf Ndayishimiye, ACL; Mohamed Abdelmonem, ACL; Moise Bombito, leg fracture), whilst at 42, Dante is incapable of featuring regularly. With Franck Haise preferring to play with a back three, reinforcements are needed in this sector and Amenda has now emerged as a key target.
