Anderson Silva vs. Tyson Woodley threw down earlier tonight (Fri., Dec. 19, 2025) live on Netflix inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

Woodley started off the fight on the front foot, poking at his opponent with jabs. Woodley threw a couple combinations when Silva pressed, but the veteran Brazilian caught them on the gloves. Silva started pressing forward, getting Woodley’s back to the ropes without actually letting his punches go. Woodley fired a right hand to the body, closing the first round strong.

I’m not sure Silva threw a single real punch in the first frame.

Silva had a little more pep in his step to start the second, timing an uppercut counter early. He followed up with a combination off a hop step. Suddenly, a big Silva uppercut wobbled the knees! A follow up combination put Woodley on the floor! Right as Woodley regained his footing and went to resume, the referee deemed that he was still unsteady on his feet and opted to stop the fight.

How about that?!? Anderson Silva may not be at his peak anymore, but the combat sports legend is still an ageless wonder. Just like in the days of old, “The Spider” took some time to analyze his opponent and then effortlessly dispatched him as soon as he opened up.

Even at 50 years old, Silva has plenty left in the tank for these kind of matchups.
