This is an interesting comment by the former Laker.
Being a player on the Lakers is something most NBA players dream of.
There are very few cities where the basketball scene is so iconic.
However, one former Laker said the day he was traded away from the team was the best day of his NBA career.
What player said this?
Former Lakers' guard, Max Christie, was the one who said this.
He was at a basketball camp recently and was asked what his favorite day in his NBA career was. He answered, “It was when I got traded to the Mavericks.”
Christie was in the trade that sent Anthony Davis to the Mavericks in exchange for Luka Doncic.
With two superstars exchanged, Christie being involved in the trade was kind of lost at first, but he's quickly shown he was a vital asset that the Mavericks got back in the deal.

Once he arrived in Dallas, Christie was given more minutes and, in return, gave more production on the court.
He averaged 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 32 games with Dallas in the 2024-25 NBA season.
Christie is still only 22 years old, and being traded to a team where he's valued and can contribute more might be the best situation he could have been put in, over playing in Los Angeles.
