Seahawks 2-point conversion vs. Rams might be wildest in NFL history [VIDEO]

The stakes of this game coupled with the comeback might make the Seahawks 2-point conversion the wildest in NFL history.

The Seattle Seahawks have put together an impressive comeback against the Los Angeles Rams and midway through the fourth quarter they capped it with arguably the wildest successful two-point conversion in NFL history. With the NFC West lead and the No. 1 seed on the line, it’s certainly on the short list!

Sam Darnold attempting a pass to Zach Charbonnet. It appeared to be incomplete and the two-point attempt was a failure. Upon further review, however, it was determined to be a backward pass. That meant when it was broken up it became a fumble. Charbonnet picked up the ball as it lay in the end zone and the referees subsequently reversed it as a successful conversion.

The Seahawks were trailing 30-14 and the Rams seemed to have all the momentum leading up to this conversion. Seattle held a 14-13 lead but then gave up a field goal, threw an interception, gave up back-to-back touchdowns and threw another interception. However, on the ensuing drive after the second Darnold pick, the Seahawks forced a Rams punt and Rashid Shaheed ran it back 58 yards for a touchdown. That changed the momentum on both sides of the ball in the fourth quarter.

The game has a long way to go as the teams have since exchanged punts, and we’re in for a fun finish. The Rams and Seahawks are playing the best football in the NFC this season and one of them is going to be stuck going on the road as a wild card team. Add in the San Francisco 49ers sitting a game back and the stakes are huge in the NFC West.
