Al Ahly Jersey Numbers Spark Curiosity Ahead of New 2025/26 Season

New arrivals and summer exits trigger changes in squad numbers for African giants

Al Ahly continue their preparations for the 2025 /26 season and fans are already buzzing over one of the hottest topics every year changes in squad numbers.

While the Cairo club has yet to release its official shirt list , some clues emerged during the recent friendly match against Stade Tunisien.

Spotlight on Striker Gradischar’s Number

All eyes are on Slovenian forward Nzik Gradischar. In the friendly, new signing Mohamed Sherif was seen wearing the iconic no10 shirt raising questions about what number Gradischar will wear.

With Wesam Abou Ali nearing a move to Columbus Crew USA, the no9 shirt could become available. But there’s no official confirmation yet.

Options Still Open

The number 11 shirt's also likely option for Gradischar who joined Al Ahly mid season and is expected to feature in the 2nd half of the friendly possibly revealing his new jersey number.

Departures Create Room for Change

This summer saw several notable exits including Khaled Abdel Fattah & Karim Nedved (to Ceramica Cleopatra) as well as Amr El Solia and Akram Tawfik who joined Al Shamal. Yahya Attiat Allah also returned to Sochi after his loan.
