Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has reflected on the club's marathon 2024-25 campaign and expressed his gratitude to those who contributed to the team's success.
Just over a week after Chelsea concluded their 2024-25 season in winning fashion, their manager Enzo Maresca took some time to reflect on the season that was.
Maresca reflected on his debut season as Chelsea's head coach by posting a message on social media about the journey since he was appointed.
Having been handed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge in June 2024 and just over a year into his tenure, it is safe to say that he has made a successful start.
Under his stewardship, Chelsea clinched the Club World Cup in New Jersey earlier this month, having already won the UEFA Conference League in May and secured a place in next season’s Champions League.
"What a way to finish the 24/25 season, has been a very long journey," the Chelsea head coach wrote on his Instagram page.
"We did it - and we did it in our way once again. Thanks to the players for the fantastic effort. Thanks to all our fans around the world. Thanks to my family and friends for being in my corner."

Maresca will look to build on the back of a successful season

On the back of a successful first season under Maresca, the Blues will be looking to reach even greater heights when the next Premier League season kicks off in a few weeks.
Having tasted silverware under the Italian manager, Chelsea will be looking to mount a title challenge and claim their first Premier League title since 2017.
They will also be looking to enjoy a run deep into the latter stages of the Champions League in the upcoming season.
Having enjoyed a successful first season at the club, it will also be interesting to see how Chelsea and Maresca deal with the pressure of expectations going into the upcoming season.
