All eyes were on Scottie Scheffler's adorable son after his dad's win at the British Open.
On Sunday, July 20, the professional golfer, 29, celebrated the special moment of his first British Open, also known as The Open, win with his 14-month-old son Bennett. After the toddler, who's always by his dad's side on the green, spotted Scheffler, he stood up and began walking toward his dad.
Unfortunately, Bennett didn't make it very far. A video posted by NBC Sports on X shows Scheffler's son tumbling down after just a few steps. He eventually got up the hill — with the help of an official from the British Open team and Scheffler — and joined his dad, who held onto his son with one hand and the Claret Jug in the other with a big smile on his face.

Scottie Scheffler and his son BennettThis is not the first time Bennett, whom Scheffler and his wife Meredith Scheffler welcomed in May 2024, stole the show after one of his dad's big wins.
Following Scheffler's win on June 1 at the Memorial Tournament in Ohio, Bennett could be seen in footage captured during CBS Sports' broadcasts with a stain on his back as his dad carried him and chatted with his wife.
"Winning a golf tournament for $4 million and your wife handing you a baby with a poop stain square in the middle of his back is peak dad life," journalist Kyle Porter joked in one viral X post that had garnered over two million views.
Scheffler has long been candid about how his wife and son have supported him throughout his many wins on the PGA Tour. After his win, he told CBS Sports' Amanda Balionis that he couldn't have done it without his wife.
"You're really trying to make me emotional now," Scheffler joked with Balionis after she asked about Meredith’s impact on his success following the tournament in Dublin, Ohio.
Scheffler’s voice then caught as he got emotional: "I mean, my wife is my biggest supporter, she’s my best friend."
"You know, this is our life, out here on the road," Scheffler added. "It's been a lot of fun."

The family has enjoyed other milestones while on the tour, including having fun at the Par 3 contest at the Masters, where Bennett wore a white jumpsuit that said "Scheffler" on the back. Just a few weeks later at the PGA Championship in May, the toddler stood up by himself for what was seemingly the first time, per Golf Digest.
Scheffler announced his mini-me's arrival with a sweet post on Instagram a few days after Bennett was born.
“Welcome to the world little one. Your mom & dad love you so much,” he captioned the post, giving his followers a glimpse of the newborn swaddled in white as the first-time dad cradled him in his arms.
