Manchester United fans will be thrilled to learn that the wait is finally over, as a source has now revealed when the signing of Bryan Mbeumo will be made official.
After securing the services of Matheus Cunha in early June, the Red Devils turned their attention towards the 25-year-old Cameroonian. But unlike the Brazilian’s capture, this proved to be a long and agonising soap opera that kept the fans on the edge of their seats for more than a month.
While Cunha’s contract with Wolves had a release clause worth £62.5 million, Mbeumo’s Brentford deal doesn’t include a similar stipulation, forcing Man Utd to negotiate an agreement with the stubborn Bees who refused to go below the £70m mark.
When will Man Utd announce Bryan Mbeumo?
After seeing their first two offers rejected, United finally succumbed to Brentford’s asking price, launching a third bid worth £65 million plus £6 million in bonuses. This offer has finally been accepted, so Mbeumo is supposedly set to join Man Utd after all.

However, the question that poses itself is when exactly the winger will arrive at Carrington.
According to Man Utd insider Sully, the official announcement could arrive as early as Monday.
“There is a growing consensus from what I’m hearing that the announcement of the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo is today (Monday). God bless,” posted the journalist on his X account.
Mbeumo set to join Man United on US tour?
Therefore, Mbeumo could officially become a Manchester United player in a matter of hours, much to the delight of the fanbase.
It should also be noted that Ruben Amorim is keen to have Mbeumo at his disposal for the US tour. And with the squad flying from Manchester to Chicago on Tuesday, this would certainly make for a timely arrival.
The Red Devils began their pre-season with a goalless draw against Leeds United in Sweden, and will soon take on West Ham (July 27), Bournemouth (July 31) and Everton (August 4) on American soil, before ending their pre-season with a clash against Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9.
