With the 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend in full swing, the stars were on the court giving it their all. Friday night's WNBA All-Star competitions consisted of the 3-point contest as well as the skills challenge.
With Caitlin Clark withdrawing from the 3-point contest (and the All-Star game), the door was wide open for the other competitors in the field. As for the skills challenge, it was anyone's game, but one star stood out above the rest.
The New York Liberty's, Sabrina Ionescu walked away as the 3-point contest champion, following a stellar final round, 30-point performance.
Fellow Liberty guard, Natasha Cloud, took home the trophy as the skills challenge champion, making it a clean sweep for the Liberty across both competitions.
Whether the Liberty duo knew it or not, they made WNBA history in the process, and the WNBA's official X account was there to make the historic announcement on Friday night.

"IT'S A LIBERTY SWEEP AT WNBA ALL-STAR FRIDAY NIGHT," the announcement read.
The Liberty became the first team to win both competitions, between two different teammates, in WNBA history.
In 2024, the Atlanta Dream's Allisha Gray won both competitions, becoming the first player to do so. While Gray was in both fields on Friday, she was unable to defend either title.
Ionescu also became just the second player in WNBA history to win the 3-point contest twice. Allie Quigley is the only other player to have won the contest more than once.
Indiana's Gainbridge Fieldhouse was graced with two fantastic competitions on Friday night, setting the table for what should be a fun, competitive All-Star game on Saturday night.
The action is set to tip-off between Team Clark and Team Collier at 8:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.
