One of the biggest additions to the LSU Tigers' 2026 recruiting class up to this point has been wide receiver Tristen Keys, who pledged himself to the program on March 19.
However, Keys has kept his options open, taking official visits with several other programs including the Miami Hurricanes (May 30), Texas A&M Aggies (June 5), Auburn Tigers (June 10) and Tennessee Volunteers (June 13).
There's a serious chance that LSU could see him commit to a new program, and in an article from Rivals' Steve Wiltfong, an update on Keys' recruiting process was revealed.
"There is confidence around Baton Rouge that the Tigers can keep Keys in the fold," Wiltfong wrote. "But Tennessee and Texas A&M are more than lurking here. They remain major contenders to flip Keys."
For the Volunteers, the idea of flipping Keys also seems to be a necessity, as they've landed just one wide receiver in the 2026 class in four-star Tyreek King.
On the other hand, for the Aggies, it could be viewed as more of a luxury since they already have three wide receivers, including four-star Aaron Gregory, four-star Madden Williams and three-star Mike Brown.
Of course, Keys would immediately become the top at the position for both, as Rivals Industry Rankings place him as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 wide receiver, the No. 1 player in Mississippi and the No. 7 player in the nation.
Now, only time will tell if Keys will honor his original commitment to LSU, which has now stood for nearly four months, or if a better opportunity presents itself, leading him to a new program.
