The Atlanta Dream capped off the first half of the 2025 WNBA season on a high note. The Dream defeated the Chicago Sky 86-49 on Wednesday, dominating their game. Unfortunately for the Sky, the team didn't have their best player, Angel Reese.

Even before their game, it was reported that Reese would miss the contest due to a leg injury. Not having her on the floor was a big blow to their lineup, since the star forward was having a great run this month. In the past five games, the former LSU star was averaging 18.8 points, 12.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists.

The Dream, though, took advantage of it and dominated the game.

Following the contest, the Dream announced that the 37-point win by the team is the second-largest margin in franchise history.

Five players for the Dream finished in double digits in scoring. Veteran All-Star center Brittney Griner led the team with 15 points and five rebounds on 75% shooting in less than 20 minutes. Allisha Gray added 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Rookie guard Te-Hina Paopao came off the bench and scored 13 points on 3-for-5 shooting from deep. With her performance on Wednesday, the former South Carolina guard has reached the 100-point mark in her career. Paopao added three rebounds and three assists in the win.

Atlanta had a strong ending before the All-Star break. Their next contest will be on Tuesday, July 22, against the Las Vegas Aces.
