In one of the biggest surprises in college football history, Lincoln Riley opted to leave a perennial contender in the Oklahoma Sooners to revive a USC Trojans program.

After a strong introductory season in 2022, which saw the Trojans go 11-3 and appear in the Pac-12 Championship, the level of success hasn't been sustained. USC has combined to go 15-11 in the ensuing two seasons, and Riley now finds himself in a position where some think he may be coaching for his job.

While Riley is still working on improving the product on the field, the support staff around him has helped him dramatically improve the product off of it. As shared on social media, USC achieved the program's highest recorded cumulative GPA in program history. A mark that breaks the previous record, which the program set this past fall.

"Huge," commented one fan.

"Our program is on an elite trajectory," predicted a second.

"Smart teams win games," said another.

"Yes sirrrrr Fight on," added another.

With the team finding success off of the field, fans are hoping that it could translate to this upcoming season.

While the rest of the sport may be down on the Trojans, ESPN's FPI ranked them as the No. 19 team in the country. With the No. 13 recruiting class and No. 18 transfer portal class set to join the fold, Riley has a chance to coach his way off of the hot seat and into the College Football Playoff conversation.
