Taylor Rooks' Emotional Parting Message to TNT, Bleacher Report

A chapter closes for Taylor Rooks.

Taylor Rooks' Emotional Parting Message to TNT, Bleacher Report originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

After seven transformative years, award-winning sportscaster Taylor Rooks has officially parted ways with TNT Sports and Bleacher Report.

Rooks, 33, shared the news through an emotional Instagram post filled with gratitude, reflection, and heartfelt goodbyes to colleagues and fans.

“This is the end of an era,” Rooks wrote, alongside a carousel of photos capturing her memorable moments interviewing athletes and hosting major sports coverage. “I walked into this role as a 26-year-old woman that had a lot to say and a lot to learn… I’m leaving as a better broadcaster because of every single person I worked with in Atlanta and New York.”

Throughout her time at TNT and Bleacher Report, Rooks became known for conducting in-depth interviews with NBA stars, creating viral clips and hosting her own series, “Taylor Rooks X.”

Though she didn’t specify her next move, Rooks made it clear her exit was one of growth rather than departure from storytelling altogether.

“Thank you for believing there was space in sports media for me to do in-depth sit-downs. For never putting me in a box,” she shared.

In recent months, Rooks has already taken significant steps in her career and personal mission. She was recently named one of the lead hosts of Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming NBA studio coverage, joining Blake Griffin and Dirk Nowitzki for the network’s 2025–2026 NBA season. She also remains a feature reporter for Thursday Night Football.

Beyond broadcasting, Rooks launched the Taylor Rooks Foundation, aimed at empowering underserved communities, particularly Black and Brown individuals and families.

As one of the most influential sports journalists of her generation, Rooks leaves TNT and Bleacher Report with a legacy of powerful storytelling and an even more exciting journey ahead.
