Yankees predicted to trade for former No. 1 overall prospect in lieu of Eugenio Suarez

New York may have to settle.

The New York Yankees seem to clearly want Eugenio Suarez to solve their third base woes.

They won't be the only team after the Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman with 31 home runs, though.

And if they don't get Suarez, the Yanks will need a solid pivot.

The Talkin' Baseball crew predicts they'll find a Plan B with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim: Yoan Moncada.

Moncada was once the No. 1 prospect in all of baseball when he joined the White Sox from Cuba.

Now, he's still a dangerous switch-hitter with pop, although not a great contact hitter.

He'd still be an upgrade over anyone else the Yankees have to play third.

His left-handed side is also suited to Yankee Stadium.

Moncada isn't Suarez, but he wouldn't be a terrible outcome for the Bronx Bombers.
