The New York Knicks have been very active this offseason as they have made multiple moves to upgrade their depth and also hired anew head coach to man the sidelines for next season.
Of course, the Knicks are coming off their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance since 2000 last season, but it was not enough for head coach Tom Thibodeau to keep his job as they fired him after the season.
They then hired former Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown as Thibodeau’s replacement after about of month of interviews with multiple candidates.
During free agency, the Knicks signed both Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele to cheap contracts to upgrade their bench, which was an issue for them last season.
While the Knicks are still looking to sign one more player to fill their final roster spot this offseason, they made an announcement on Wednesday regarding guard Josh Hart.
On Wednesday, the Knicks announced that Hart underwent a procedure to his right ring finger due to an injury that he suffered during the playoffs. New York also announced that he will resume activities later this summer, meaning that he will be good to go by the start of next season.

This is a massive announcement by the Knicks, though the good news is that Hart will be ready for the start of next season.
Hart has been a key player for the Knicks since he arrived during the 2022-23 season as he brings them a little bit of everything on the court, especially hustle.
Last season, the 30-year-old guard averaged 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 52.5% from the field and 33.3% from three.
Now Hart will have a short road to recovery after his surgery but he will be ready for next season where he should once again play a large role for the Knicks on both ends of the court.
