Caitlin Clark will sit against the Liberty in the final game before the All-Star break. She injured her right groin on Tuesday against the Sun.
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will not play in Wednesday night's game against the New York Liberty, the team announced.
The Fever's injury report had Clark as questionable for the Eastern Conference matchup with a right groin injury, suffered in the fourth quarter of Indiana's 85-77 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday.
Clark has already missed 10 regular-season games and the Commissioner's Cup win over the Minnesota Lynx with left quad and a left groin injuries.
The Fever are 5-5 without Clark this season and sit at 12-10 in the final game before the WNBA All-Star break.
Clark, a first-team All-WNBA selection last year, is slated to start in Saturday's All-Star game. As a team captain, she selected the players who will suit up for her team. She and Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, the other captain, received the highest amount of fan votes in the All-Star balloting.
Clark is also slated to participate in the 3-point contest on Friday. She is averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and five rebounds in 13 games this season.
