The New York Knicks are one of the most famous franchises in the NBA and also in the world of sports.

Due to this, they have had a number of legends who have suited up for their franchise, though the Knicks have only won two championships in their franchise’s rich history, both of which came during the 1970s.

With their amount of franchise legends, the Knicks had seven players represented on Bleacher Report’s list of the top 100 players in NBA history that they released on Monday.

Among the Knicks players on the list are Bernard King (97), Dave DeBusschere (95), Earl “The Pearl” Monroe (89), Carmelo Anthony (60), Willis Reed (58), Walt Frazier (43) and Patrick Ewing (40).

Most of the players representing the Knicks played during the franchise’s hay day in the 1970s as DeBusschere, Monroe, Reed and Frazier were all key parts of at least one of their championships during that era.

Of course, Frazier is known as arguably the greatest Knicks player ever, though it is a heated debate between him and Ewing, though DeBusschere flew under the radar during his time with the team alongside Monroe and Reed, who were also overshadowed by Frazier.

For King, he played only four season in New York during the 1980s but he made an impact, especially in 1984-85 when he led the NBA with 32.9 points per game.

Ewing is another key name in Knicks’ history as he is also regarded as the best player in franchise history and for good reason, though he was never able to capture a championship in New York over his career.

For Anthony, he became a superstar after being traded to New York by the Denver Nuggets and before their current stars of Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony was the last true superstar in New York.

Now the modern Knicks’ core, led by Brunson, will look to add their name to this list at some point as they try to bring a championship to New York for the first time since the 1970s.
