Former Orlando Magic star guard Victor Oladipo hasn't played in the NBA since the 2022-23 season. Oladipo has dealt with various injuries in his career, and it has gravely affected him. However, recent reports revealed that the two-time All-Star is planning a comeback in the league.
The last team he played for was the Miami Heat, where he was a backup guard. His stint with the Heat wasn't as memorable compared to his time with the Magic, Oklahoma City Thunder or Indiana Pacers. However, he showed that he can thrive in a bench role. During that season, Oladipo appeared in 42 games, averaging 10.7 points, three rebounds and 3.5 assists on 33% shooting from deep.
Now that he's had time to get his body recovered, the former No. 2 pick is making a push to return to the league.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Woo, Oladipo has had private workouts in Las Vegas. Both NBA and European teams have attended and were reportedly impressed with what he's shown.
“The two-time All-Star, 33, was part of a well-attended private workout in Las Vegas on Monday morning, with a large contingent of NBA and European teams attending,” Woo wrote.
“Oladipo played full-court five-on-five in a group workout of international pros. Multiple team sources in attendance came away impressed, with Oladipo described as being in excellent shape as he pursues another comeback.”
The former Most Improved Player winner also announced that he's in excellent condition. Earlier this week, he posted on social media about his desire to return to the NBA.
"I know I can help any team in any role win in any way! I also know the people want to see me succeed in this game and play at the highest level again. My injuries are behind me and it will never happen again!" Oladipo posted on X.
I feel so great right now!! Better than I felt in the last 7 years mind, body and soul. I know I am a fighter! I know I am a warrior! I have seen every lens this game and this league has to offer. I know I can help any team in any role win in any way! I also know the people want…

Oladipo was part of the Magic for three years. During his time in Orlando, he averaged 15.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and four assists. He was also second in the Rookie of the Year Race in 2013.
