Brandon Marsh sends strong message to Philadelphia Phillies coaching staff amid ongoing 2025 struggles.

The Philadelphia Phillies entered the season offensively with multiple questions.
For the Phillies, the hope was for them to swing the bat at a high level and fix their swing-and-miss issues. While the Phillies swung the bats at a somewhat high level over the past few years, it's because the team knew how to hit the long ball.
Unfortunately, when that's mixed in with a ton of swing and miss stuff, there have been times when the Phillies have gone quiet offensively, and that's been proven over the past two postseasons.
This year, however, not only are the Phillies not exactly hitting the long ball as well as they typically do, but they're also striking out.
It's tough to get a real feel for what the Phillies are, but for the most part, this seems to be the exact same team that they've been over the past two seasons.
If things go right, the Phillies will have a chance to win it all. If not, they'll likely be eliminated in the earlier stages of the postseason.
However, perhaps more concerning than anything was Brandon Marsh's recent comments, which made it seem as though he had called out the front office and the coaching staff.
He stated that there haven't been any team meetings suggesting they need to cut down on their swing and miss stuff, or they need to do certain things..
“There’s a correlation to it, you know?” Marsh said, per The Athletic. “The teams that chase a lot and have a lot of strikeouts also probably lead the league in homers. Or are up there. But I don’t necessarily remember us having a meeting or a sit-down of, like, stop chasing. Maybe just, like, ‘We need to put better at-bats together. Pass the baton.’ Stuff like that. But nothing in particular.”
Marsh is one of the players who doesn't hit for much power and strikes out too often.
That's why many expect him to be traded or replaced over the next few weeks.
However, his comment, regardless of the outcome, is somewhat concerning.
