While many teams are still trying to upgrade their roster this offseason, focus shifted elsewhere on Monday in the NBA as Bleacher Report released their list of the top 100 players in NBA history.

It seems as though these lists come out every offseason to spark debate within the media and the NBA world and that has once again taken place this offseason.

Among the players on Bleacher Report’s list was Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green who was ranked as the 88th best player in NBA history despite his controversial career.

USA Today

“The greatest defensive player of the modern era, Green’s ability to cover any perimeter position while also manning the center spot made him an integral force on a Warriors team that won four titles and reached six Finals. In addition to his length and versatility, Green played with a unique combination of calculating, anticipatory genius and reckless physicality,” Bleacher Report’s NBA staff wrote. “Controversial, outspoken, notorious for punching teammate Jordan Poole and undeniably a key factor in the Warriors’ dynasty, Green is beloved in Golden State and begrudgingly respected by the litany of opposing fanbases whose hopes he dashed year after year.”

Of course, Green has been in his fair share of trouble in the NBA with multiple suspensions and fines, though he is no doubt one of the best players in the league, especially on the defensive end.

Green was also one of the key pieces to the Warriors’ dynasty as he helped them win four championships and he has continued to be a key piece throughout his career in Golden State.

So far in his career, the 35-year-old forward is a four-time champion, one-time Defensive Player of the Year, four-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA selections and nine-time All-Defensive selection.

Although Green is either loved or hated around the league, there is no doubt that he is one of the best players in league history due to his impact on and off the court.
