- Fox Sports 1 has reportedly canceled three shows: Speak, The Facility and Breakfast Ball
- Joy Taylor hosted Speak for nearly three years before the network cut the show in July 2025
- While Taylor has not publicly spoken out about the cancellations, several of the hosts from the other cut shows have issued statements
Three shows on Fox Sports 1 have reportedly been canceled.
Speak, which was hosted by Joy Taylor and featured co-hosts Keyshawn Johnson and NBA player Paul Pierce, was one of the shows The Athletic reported was axed on July 14. The outlet also stated that the network cut the morning shows The Facility and Breakfast Ball.
Fox Sports has yet to share an official statement as to why the shows were canceled. However, The Athletic reported that the shows had dropped in ratings and "struggled to find a huge audience." Fox Sports did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
Taylor has not released an official statement about the news, but she has continued to post on Instagram. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Acho, who co-hosted The Facility, hinted at the departure in a social media post.
Here's everything to know about the three Fox Sports shows — Speak, The Facility and Breakfast Ball — that have reportedly been canceled.
Speak

Joy Taylor on 'Speak.'Taylor began hosting the sports talk show Speak in September 2022 and frequently included former NFL star Johnson and former NBA player Pierce as panelists during her run.
In addition to having the usual panelists, Taylor featured several NFL stars — including Tony Gonzalez, Michael Vick and Jim Jackson — to debate sports topics.
The TV program originally premiered in June 2016 with Jason Whitlock and Colin Cowherd and featured different personalities. Over the next several years, the original co-hosts left the show and were eventually replaced by the latest trio.
Taylor has not publicly commented on Fox Sports canceling Speak, though she has remained active on social media by posting workout videos and promoting her podcast, Two Personal.
Johnson also hasn't shared a comment, but Pierce posted a video on his Instagram Stories of him on vacation while saying in the background, "God is good man. I appreciate all of y’all supported me in the last year with the show. It's all love."
The talk show's cancellation came six months after Taylor was named in a lawsuit against former Fox Sports programming executive Charlie Dixon, who was fired in April 2025.
In the lawsuit, former Fox Sports hairstylist Noushin Faraji accused Dixon of groping her at Taylor's birthday party in 2017. Faraji claimed that Taylor dismissed her allegations and told her to "get over it," according to the complaint obtained by PEOPLE at the time.
The hairstylist further alleged that Taylor had an affair with Dixon, which Taylor vehemently denied. Despite her denial, Taylor was pulled from her on-air show for two weeks.
"The claims set forth against Ms. Taylor are devoid of merit and appear to have been strategically framed to create unwarranted publicity rather than to seek legitimate redress,” her spokesperson told The Athletic in February 2025.
Amid the backlash from the lawsuit, Taylor explained that she was renegotiating her contract, which was set to expire in the summer, per Front Office Sports.
The Facility

Emmanuel Acho on 'The Facility.'The Facility was the sports and entertainment talk show that Acho left Speak to develop in September 2024. He hosted the show alongside other former NFL players Chase Daniel, James Jones and LeSean McCoy.
Shortly after The Athletic reported the cancellations, Acho posted a response on X.
"In sports, when you’re not good enough, you get cut," Acho wrote on July 14. "In TV, when you’re not good enough, you get cancelled. I’m not going to try and come to y’all with some 'Big announcements soon. Stay tuned' because I don’t actually know what’s coming. But what I do know is I trust God."
Daniel also acknowledged the departure by posting several photos of himself from his time on set on X.
"Really thankful for the chance to work with so many great people—on and off camera—on FS1’s The Facility," he captioned the post. "While the news was unexpected and change is never easy, I’ve learned through my time in the NFL that you’ve got to be adaptable & resilient through the highs & the lows. Thank you to everyone at Fox Sports for the experience, support and memories! I will praise & trust God on the mountain tops & in the valleys!"
Meanwhile, Jones reflected on his time with his own message on X, "'If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.' Just want to say thank you to my @fs1 family for the opportunity to talk and be around the game I love. Special shout out to @EmmanuelAcho for always looking out! Yall gotta pay for your own donuts now!"
McCoy had a more candid response by writing on X, "Damn fired on my day off , WELL put me on the trading block" and added several laughing emojis. "Speak and facility was a blast I got some announcements coming soon but one thing I do kno from 🏈 is TALENT & DEDICATION always wins see u sooooon."

Craig Carton and Mark Schlereth on 'Breakfast Ball.'Similar to The Facility, Breakfast Ball had only been on television screens for less than a year before its cancellation. The sports and entertainment talk show starred longtime sports personalities and analysts Craig Carton, Danny Parkins and Mark Schlereth.
None of the hosts have released statements on social media about the cuts. However, just hours before The Athletic published their story, Parkins wrote on X about how "pumped" he was to return to the studio after a few weeks off for summer.
"Pumped to be back with @craigcartonlive & @markschlereth for some @BrkfstBallOnFS1," Parkins wrote on X on July 14. "Talking Cooper Flagg, Ryan Poles, LeBron trades, Christian McCaffrey, Giannis, Luka, and more!"
The series premiered on FS1 in August 2024.
