Cam Ward was the top pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. Will Arch Manning be the first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft? The Texas Longhorns star will finally get his first chance at being the team’s full-time starting quarterback this season. Although the 21-year-old redshirt sophomore has only started two games, he’s already being looked at as one of a number of potential first overall picks in next year’s draft.

However, when Manning recently spoke to the media about his thoughts on entering the 2026 NFL Draft, he made it clear that he’s focused on his big season ahead rather than thinking too far into the future.

“I’m really just worried about getting through this interview and then getting through the run tomorrow. I’m just focused on this year and getting better each day.”

Texas’ Arch Manning

The son of Cooper and nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, is one of the most-hyped prospects in recent memory. Yet, when you’re part of a Hall of Fame football family that also includes grandpa Archie Manning, expectations will naturally be high.

Plus, Arch has all the tools that NFL scouts drool over with pro-level size at 6-foot-4, 216 pounds with a still-developing arm that can already make every throw. If he has an excellent season, Arch may very well emerge as the strong favorite to be selected first.

Though, he’d become the first of the Manning family to not graduate from college before joining the NFL. In other words, watching whether Arch decides to stick around for another year of college education before beginning his career as an NFL quarterback will be a very intriguing storyline to watch as the end of next season draws near.
