The New York Knicks are coming off one of their most successful seasons in recent memory as they reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.

During the offseason, they have added depth to their bench and also hired Mike Brown as their new head coach and more moves may be coming.

While the Knicks are busy upgrading their roster this summer, one of their franchise legends was in the news on Monday with Bleacher Report releasing their all-time list for the top 100 players in NBA history.

That player is Carmelo Anthony, who landed 60th on Bleacher Report’s list, though he could have been higher if he had been able to accomplish what others in the 2003 draft class did like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

“An isolation force whose jab-step and one-dribble pull-up attack yielded mid-range buckets and plenty of free-throw attempts, Melo also developed into a stellar three-point shooter as the game moved away from his pet shots,” Bleacher Report’s NBA staff wrote. “Anthony’s best years came with the New York Knicks from 2011 to 2017, but he was also the leading scorer on some excellent Denver Nuggets teams early in his career, the best of which made the Western Conference Finals in 2009.”

Of course, Anthony began his career with the Denver Nuggets but most of his success came in New York, though he was never able to lead the franchise to a championship.

Despite this, Anthony became one of the Knicks’ best players due to his scoring abilities.

During his career, the Hall of Fame forward was a 10-time All-Star, six-time All-NBA selection and won the scoring title in 2012-13.

Unfortunately for Anthony, he was never able to win a championship or an MVP award during his Hall of Fame career but he will forever be known as one of the greatest Knicks ever and also one of the league’s best scorers.
