Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen remains fully convinced of his readiness to snatch back his position as the no.1 goalkeeper in Hansi Flick’s squad.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen has of course seen his name dominate the headlines in Catalunya’s capital once more over the last 24 hours.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the German is training separately, away from the rest of Barcelona’s squad.
Amid the long-standing speculation surrounding his future, many may have assumed that Ter Stegen, in turn, is inching towards an incoming exit.
As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, the 33-year-old himself has altogether different ideas.
As per a report from Sport, in fact:
‘Ter Stegen remains convinced that he is in a plethoric moment and that sooner or later he will reach the starting line-up on sporting merits. His idea is to try until January and, if not, study market exits.’
