With Paycom announcing the ending of its naming rights contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Oklahoma City's new $1 billion NBA arena will open with a new name.

Paycom Center will remain the name of the current building until it closes, which would include three more Thunder seasons.

But what's next? Here are some of the best, and funniest, name suggestions we've seen so far for Oklahoma City's new arena, expected to open in 2028.

Reddit users took to the platform to discuss which companies might buy the naming rights to the new arena, and had some interesting ideas on what the corresponding arena name might be.

Several users mentioned Sonic as the purchaser of the naming rights, which they agreed would irk fans of the former Seattle Supersonics, which became the Oklahoma City Thunder when Clay Bennett and the ownership group moved the team here in 2008.

Others said they don't care who buys the naming rights, as long as it can be called the "Thunderdome."
