Suns Player Named Lakers’ ‘Missing Piece,’ Los Angeles Can Get ‘Parade Ready’ if They Land Him

An analyst believes that the Los Angeles Lakers will win a championship if they land a star player from the Phoenix Suns.

The Phoenix Suns entered the offseason expected to make major changes to their roster and that is exactly what they have done thus far.

Phoenix began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets and they then acquired Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets on draft night before selecting Khaman Maluach, Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea.

With Durant now gone, the Suns officially ended the big three era of him, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal and by the time next season begins, Booker may be the only one remaining.

That is due to reports that Beal and the Suns are approaching a contract buyout that would make him a free agent.

If that ends up being the case, many teams are expected to show interest in the star guard though Fox Sports’ Jason Mcyntire believes that he would be a perfect fit with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Bradley Beal is the missing piece, you can just go ahead and get the parade ready for the Lakers if they get Bradley Beal,” Mcyntire said.

This is a bold take by Mcyntire and one that does not make a ton of sense as Beal did not fit well next to Durant and Booker, let alone his potential fit with Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

Of course, Beal needs to have the ball in his hands at a high rate for him to have an impact, which was shown last season when the Suns moved him to the bench as their main guy in the second rotation.

That could end up being the case in Los Angeles, especially due to Austin Reaves filling the starting shooting guard position, though Beal may want to sign with a team where he is guaranteed a starting spot.

Either way, Beal’s fit in Los Angeles is a questionable one but the Lakers may still take a chance on him if he reaches a buyout with the Suns this summer.
