The Denver Nuggets have been one of the most active teams in the NBA this offseason as they have made multiple moves to upgrade their roster around their star center Nikola Jokic.

Since winning the championship in 2023, Denver has suffered back-to-back second-round playoff exits and they felt the need to make changes to their roster this summer which began by them trading Michael Porter Jr. to the Brooklyn Nets for Cameron Johnson.

While the Nuggets have been active upgrading their roster around Jokic this offseason, the three-time MVP winner was also named as one of the greatest players in NBA history on Monday.

Bleacher Report listed Jokic at No. 17 on their list of the greatest players in NBA history, an accomplishment many did not see coming whenever the 30-year-old was drafted in the second round during a Taco Bell commercial.

“Known mostly for his passing, Jokić has developed a lethal higher-volume scoring arsenal, the kind capable of anchoring a championship team, as he’s already done with the Denver Nuggets,” Bleacher Report’s NBA staff wrote. “His position on this list should rise throughout his career. But for now, he barely misses top 15 status among the all-time greats.”

Bleacher Report’s staff made an excellent point about how Jokic should continue to rise throughout his career as he could end up going down as not only one of the best centers to ever play in the NBA, but one of the best players too as well.

So far in his career, Jokic is a one-time champion, three-time MVP, one-time Finals MVP, seven-time All-Star and six-time All-NBA selection.

Of course, Jokic is arguably the best player in the world currently and he is coming off arguably the best season of his career last year when he finished second in the MVP race despite becoming just the third player in league history to average a triple-double throughout an entire season.

Now Jokic heads into next season looking to lead the Nuggets to another championship and continue to add to his already incredible resume.
