The 2025 college football season is still weeks away and anticipation is already mounting for one of the sport's hottest conferences, the SEC.
Georgia enters as defending conference champions after defeating Texas 22-19 in the SEC Championship Game before coming up short to eventual runners-up Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.
This upcoming season will also mark the second year of a 16‑team SEC after Texas and Oklahoma joined in 2024.
Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and LSU are all projected to vie for the conference crown, with the hope of ending the SEC’s two-year drought in national championships (Michigan 2023, Ohio State 2024).
As if excitement for the upcoming season wasn't high enough, Netflix quietly dropped the official trailer on Monday for its upcoming college football docuseries "SEC Football: Any Given Saturday," teasing a global premiere of all eight episodes on August 5.

The eight‑episode series, produced by Box to Box Films, the award‑winning studio behind "Drive to Survive," "Break Point," "Full Swing" and "Sprint," promises unprecedented, all‑access coverage of the 2024 SEC season, from the roar of 100,000‑seat stadiums to the tension‑filled huddle.
This also follows Netflix's latest release of Season 2 of "Quarterback," which premiered on July 8 and features NFL quarterbacks Joe Burrow, Jared Goff and Kirk Cousins.
"This behind‑the‑scenes docuseries will bring all the drama and pageantry of Southeastern Conference Football to a worldwide Netflix audience," said SEC commissioner Greg Sankey.
For college football diehards and casual viewers alike, "SEC Football: Any Given Saturday" serves as both a highlight reel and a cultural deep dive into one of America’s most passionate sports landscapes.
