Luka Doncic has already made a major splash since arriving in Los Angeles midway through the 2024-25 season. After being acquired in a blockbuster deal that sent Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks, Doncic put up impressive numbers, averaging 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists in 28 regular season games. His arrival helped the Lakers reach 50 wins and secure the third seed in the Western Conference.
Doncic's impact so far has been undeniable, and the Lakers front office is hoping to lock the five-time All-Star in as their franchise cornerstone long-term. He becomes eligible for a four-year, roughly $228 million extension on Aug. 2, and all signs point to the Lakers working aggressively to keep him in purple and gold for the foreseeable future.
With the offseason progressing, Doncic has been pictured on several occasions noticeably leaner and fans have continued to praise him for his improved fitness, fueling optimism that he’ll come back even better next season. The Slovenian superstar has also been seen posing for pictures with fans in different parts of Europe.
On Sunday, Doncic was spotted in Athens, Greece for a private Jordan Brand event. He wasn’t alone — Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo was also in attendance, and videos of the two laughing, toasting drinks, and enjoying the party quickly spread online. Clips showed Bam calling Doncic “the MVP of the group” as they mingled at the exclusive gathering hosted by Michael Jordan himself.

It didn’t take long for Lakers fans to flood social media with hopeful reactions. Some joked that Bam might be the next big-name target for Los Angeles:
