It has been an underwhelming offseason thus far for the Golden State Warriors as they have yet to make any moves outside of the NBA draft.

Golden State entered the offseason looking to upgrade their roster around their star trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green to chase a championship next season, but that has not been the case thus far.

Of course, they are still awaiting a decision by Jonathan Kuminga as it is likely that the young forward will be dealt in a sign-and-trade deal this summer, which has held up the Warriors in talks with other free agents.

Golden State also lost a key piece in three-time champion Kevon Looney as he departed to the New Orleans Pelicans in free agency and he recently voiced his frustration about his old squad.

“Quinten’s my guy but it’s anyone but me it seemed like,” Looney said about Post taking his minutes during the playoffs. “There was no one moment. In the playoffs I didn’t get the chance to do what I do, ‘alright you don’t trust me’. They put me in at the end of Game 7 (vs Houston). Alright. You don’t think I’m that good no more. You get sick of that at some point. You either trust me or you don’t.”

It is clear that Looney was upset about his role in the Warriors’ rotation but despite this, he did not blame head coach Steve Kerr in his interview.

“It’s never personal with Steve. He does what he thinks is trying to win,” Looney said about Kerr.

While Looney may say it is not personal with Kerr, it is clear that he did not agree with Kerr’s rotation as he found himself sitting on the sidelines a ton last season despite Golden State’s problems at the center position.

Now Looney will head to New Orleans where he should see a larger role while the Warriors are still trying to find a replacement for him to bolster their center depth.
