Birmingham City defender Rebecca Holloway has signed a new two-year contract with the club ahead of the 2025/2026 season.
The Blues announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.
The 29-year-old Northern Ireland international is something of a Birmingham City club legend. Every time Holloway has pulled on a blue and white jersey, she has given nothing less than 100 percent and she has established herself as a firm fans’ favourite. The defender has represented Blues in two separate spells between 2019 and 2022 and from 2024 to present date. She is closing in on her 100th appearance for the club.
In her first spell at Birmingham City, Holloway represented the club in the Barclays Women’s Super League. She helped Blues to battle bravely against relegation with one of the smallest budgets in the top tier. The player left the Midlands club in March 2022 prior to their relegation to Barclays WSL2.
Since returning to Birmingham City in 2024, Holloway has picked up from where she left off. She has put in some excellent performances to help Birmingham City challenge for promotion back to the top tier.
Holloway was a member of the Birmingham City side that missed out on promotion on the final day of last season and she will be hoping to become a title-winner with the club this term.
