Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. has dealt with multiple unfortunate injuries throughout his career, but he continues to bounce back to maintain his spot as one of the faces of baseball.
With superstardom comes a spotlight and a platform, two things Acuña has embraced while thriving on the diamond. A part of that is an increased interest in Acuña's personal life, something he was born ready for, given how large of a role baseball has played in his family's life.
Many members of Acuña's family have also had their fair share of baseball fame in their own right, with some of his relatives also reaching the highest level of baseball.

Ronald Acuna Jr. parents
As his name suggests, Acuña is the son of Ronald Acuña Sr. and Leonelis Blanco.
Acuña's father played in the minor leagues and, in 2011, competed for their native Venezuela at the Pan American Games. The elder Acuña's professional career spanned from 1999 to 2011, and he spent time in the Mets, Blue Jays, and Brewers organizations.
Acuña's maternal grandfather, Romualdo Blanco, was a pitcher whose professional career included time with the Astros and Padres minor league affiliates from 1971-77.

Through his father, Acuña has three younger brothers, but none were born to Blanco.
After Ronald Jr. was born in 1997, Luisangel was born in 2002, Bryan was born in 2005, and Kenny was born in 2011 or 2012.
His younger brother, Luisangel, is an infielder for the Mets. Luisangel began his professional career with the Rangers organization before being traded to the Mets in 2023 as part of the Max Scherzer deal.
Luisangel made his major league debut on Sept. 14, 2024.
Bryan is also a baseball star in his own right, signing a minor league contract with the Twins in 2022. He is currently playing with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, Minnesota's Single-A affiliate.
In 2024, Kenny reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign with the Phillies when he is eligible. Kenny was 12 years old at the time of the agreement and will not be eligible to sign until he turns 16 years old in 2028.

In addition to his baseball-playing father and brothers, Acuña's uncle, José Escobar, appeared in 10 MLB games with Cleveland during the 1991 season.

Acuña is notably related to Vicente Campos, Alcides Escobar, Edwin Escobar, and Kelvim Escobar.
