And now he's a Cincinnati Reds draft pick at No. 9 overall in the 2025 MLB Draft.
Hall is given an 80-grade speed by scouts, as high as the scale goes.
That's the kind of speed former Reds second-round pick Billy Hamilton had. Hamilton was one of the most exciting players to reach MLB for Cincinnati in the last quarter-century, but he simply didn't have enough power to stick around.
Hall is the idealized version of Hamilton.

The shortstop out of Trussville, Alabama hit eight homers in his final high school season. After reclassifying to stay at the prep level for one more year, Hall added double-digit pounds of muscle, according to MLB Network.
He's stronger now, which will allow the speed to play even better.
Hall has a swing with pop that reminded MLB Network's Mark DeRosa of Trea Turner.
If he can hit for power in addition to his supreme speed, he'll end up as a fantastic pick for Cincinnati.
