Bucks three-team trade proposal cuts ties with Kyle Kuzma for Grayson Allen

The Bucks likely wouldn't love this deal.

The Milwaukee Bucks find themselves with a Kyle Kuzma issue, and it's one that's tough to ignore.

If the Bucks could find a way to move on from Kuzma in a deal for an athletic wing or an offensive piece who can create their own shot, they’d be in a great position.

However, given the unlikelihood of that, the Bucks might have to go in a different direction.

When recently examining what a trade could look like, Sports Illustrated proposed a deal involving three teams. The trade idea would move on from Kuzma and get back former Bucks shooting guard, Grayson Allen.

“Hawks Receive: Royce O'Neale and Nick Richards Suns Receive: Kyle Kuzma, Vit Krejci, a 2026 2nd round pick (via MIL), a 2030 2nd round pick (via ATL), and a 2032 2nd round pick (via ATL) Bucks Receive: Grayson Allen and Kobe Bufkin

“Milwaukee desperately needs to upgrade their backcourt and Allen (and maybe Bufkin) helps them do that. Allen is still an elite shooter and would help Milwaukee's spacing around Giannis, while they can take a chance on Bufkin being a real NBA player. Not only that, but they get off the Kuzma contract,” they wrote.

Allen was a decent player during his time with the Bucks, but when he played against the better teams in the Eastern Conference in the postseason, he was often exposed defensively.

Outside of that, he can hit open shots, but the Bucks already have multiple players who can, with AJ Green and Gary Trent, who do other little things that Allen doesn't.

Sure, moving on from Kuzma would be nice, but it likely wouldn't be the wisest decision to take this type of trade.
