CES is going to Louisville.
Christian Encarnacion-Strand probably has the most raw power on the Cincinnati Reds. It's either him or Elly De La Cruz for that honor.
Well, he's not on the Reds anymore, at least for now.
On Saturday, Cincinnati sent CES down to Triple-A Louisville in order to activate Jake Fraley from the injured list.
Encarnacion-Strand has admittedly not unlocked his rookie year success (13 HRs, .477 slugging) in the two seasons since.
He's still a dangerous bat every time he steps in the box.
Encarnacion-Strand dealt with a wrist fracture in 2024, which probably hasn't helped matters, either.

He rakes in Triple-A, a career 1.048 OPS at that level, so he'll likely go down and hit well until the Reds need him again.
Fraley does help in his ability to play the outfield, so it's not a shock that the Reds want him around.
It's just a bit surprising that they've sent such a powerful hitter down. Now it's up to Encarnacion-Strand to get himself back to the bigs.
